Flint Hill Goods 29 x 49 Carrier with Ramp Review - 2023 Toyota Highlander

Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier with a ramp on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. Now this is gonna be a great option for you if you find yourself kind of moving anything that's pretty heavy and has wheels. So if you move into a lawnmower, a push one, and if you maybe have, maybe a generator with wheels and you need to get it up here, it's gonna make it a lot easier with that ramp. And if you find yourself not really needing to use the ramp any, that's all right, it still works just like a regular cargo carrier. And to kind of put it back up into its stationary position, all you have to do is lift up on the ramp, let it fold in on itself at the center, and push up here, letting these two halves squeeze together. more

CURT Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Toyota Highlander

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2018 Toyota Highlander and we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Cargo Carrier. Now, this cargo carrier is going to give you a lot of extra space to be able to get stuff out of your vehicle and put it on the cargo carrier. A lot of people like to use these for generators, anything that basically would smell inside your vehicle. Some households don't have trucks so you have to have something to be able to get materials that you don't want on the inside of your car, such as concrete, maybe small pieces of lumber, any of that kind of stuff. I see a lot of people doing fun little yard projects at their house with these. more

Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Toyota Highlander

Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier. First impressions of this on the back of the Highlander, I could really see how this would be useful in a lot of different scenarios, especially on those long trips. Maybe you got the car fully loaded and you lose out on a lot of that cargo space and so you're gonna be able to put all those other things back here. Or especially, you know, if it's one of those deals where you have cargo that you don't necessarily wanna put inside of your vehicle, you can put it back here, or you have stuff that's kind of bulky, but you know, actually hooking up a separate trailer doesn't really, it's not really justified, so this is kind of that go-between and being completely covered, it goes a long way. It's gotta keep all your stuff dry. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Toyota Highlander

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier. First impressions of the carrier on the back of the Highlander, I think it's a good fit, you know, this is more of a medium-sized one compared to some of the other ones out there, but still gonna give you ample room to be able to pile a bunch of stuff up back here and you know, not have to put it on the inside Highlander. I know a lot of people use these when they're going on trips and things like that, so give you a little more breathing room on the inside. Or if you just have stuff that you don't really want to put on the inside of your car, maybe a cooler or if you're doing stuff around the house maybe you need a couple bags of mulch or dirt or anything along the lines, you know, having this is gonna allow you to put all that stuff back here and keep it outside. One thing that I like to do before going on a trip or something like that, is kinda have everything loaded up and ready to rock and roll for the next morning. more

Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier. This is going to be really handy for a lot of different situations. Maybe we're going on a road trip and we want to make sure we have as much space on the inside of our Highlander so we can move a lot of that gear to the outside. It's definitely a lot easier to load this up rather than any kind of cargo basket that may be on top of a roof rack. I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit on the shorter side so if I have a cooler or some larger, bigger gear, definitely a lot more convenient to put it back here than try to get it all the way up above my head. This is going to be a pretty decent size. more

Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier.Carrier is going to allow us to do a couple of things, either carry more gear than we normally could on the inside of our vehicle or take that stuff from the inside, keep it outside and free up some space for more passengers. Now, one of my favorite things about our carrier is that this is going to be one of the larger ones available. It's going to measure 24" long, 60" wide, and 5-1/2" tall, but it's not going to be so large that it'll look funny on the back of your car. Now, whenever we're using the carrier, it is going to extend the overall length of our Highlander. By exactly how much, from the bumper to the end of the carrier is about 37-1/2". more

Reese Steel Solo Cargo Carrier and Folding Ramp Installation - 2018 Toyota Highlander

Hi there Highlander owners. Today in your 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting Reese's solo cargo carrier with folding grant. With this cargo carrier, you're going to be adding a lot of space to the back of your vehicle for the maximum carrying capacity of 400 pounds. This is great for items such as stability scooters, generators, or lawn care equipment like a mower.Another great thing I like about this, especially with our Highlander here, is that we still have full access to our hatchback here as the tailgate'll open up and it'll clear our carrier so we don't need to store our items in the back. We can put our heavy equipment here and easily get back here for our smaller lighter items. Now, whatever you're going to be hauling on your cargo carrier, you want to make sure you have it tightened down and secure. We're using Smartstraps 500 pound ratcheting straps to keep our generators secure. more

As you can see we've already got our cargo carrier on the back of our vehicle so you can see what it's going to look like with yours. This is going to be a sturdy construction on that 2 inch shank, attaching to our 2 inch receiver, and offering a 500 lb weight capacity, which is going to be more than enough to load up your cargo. We're going to get a few measurements, starting off with our closest distance. It's going to be about 6.5 inches from the back side of the bumper to the front side of the cargo carrier. Overall distance is going to be about 29.25 inches to the very back, and our ground clearance looks like it's going to be about 13.25 inches to the bottom side of the shank. Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota Highlander

Today on our 2015 Toyota Highlander, we are going to be doing a test fit of a Lets Go Aero 32" by 48" Cargo Carrier, part number HCR222. As you can see we've already got it up here on our vehicle so you can see what it's going to look like on the back of yours. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first one, from the backside of the bumper to the front side of the rack at about eight and 1/8", overall distance that we've added to the vehicle is going to be about 42 1/4", with our rear ground clearance being about 13 3/4".Now that we've got those measurements let's go ahead and open up our hatch and see what kind of clearance we have there. Now that we've got our hatch opened up, you can see that you're going to have plenty of access to get in the backside and get out anything that you may need or anything that you may have left behind. We'll go ahead and bring it back down and we'll get our break over distance at which our hatch will make contact with anything we are trying to load. That distance looks like it's going to be about 20 3/4" before anything you stack on your cargo carrier will make contact with your hatch opening. Go ahead and close that back up. Our vehicle does have single exhaust and does exit downwards on the passenger side, so if you're going to be carrying anything that is heat sensitive or perishable, that might be a measurement that you might need at about 20 1/4". Now that you've seen the Lets Go Aero 32" by 48" Cargo Carrier on our 2015 Toyota Highlander, that will complete our test fit for today.Speaker 2: Here you see it out on our test course. more
